I’m always on the lookout for healthier snacks, so I didn’t waste any time giving these no-bake almond butter bites a try after spotting the recipe on one of my favorite cooking blogs, Two Peas & Their Pod.

And lemme just say, especially with the addition of a few dark chocolate chips, I’m loving them—especially when they’re frozen.

I’m also partial to the Justin’s brand of vanilla almond butter, so I went ahead and used that too. The only slight tweak to the recipe was adding a few flaxseeds to the mix. I had a few left over from another recipe, and using them tricked me into believing I was eating something uber healthy—in the words of Ina Garten, how bad can that be?

Also when you live in Texas and won’t feel like turning on the oven much during the scorching hot summer, I think these might be just the ticket when we’re craving a chocolate treat. 🙂
